More cool Buffy and less Tina Charles then you won’t have to not apologise!
Anyway I’m bored of the 70’s and so it seems the 60’s or I wouldn’t have decided to “jazz” up Gorge Harrison’s Something by playing a totally random chord in the middle of it at my gig on Saturday.. yes sacrilege I know…..probably was even if I hadn’t cocked up. I’m sure he would have approved of the rotary speaker though.
On the budget records theme weren’t there Avenue and Forrest EPs too with the Allan Caddy singers?..and micro grooves so small and compressed the scratches were ten time louder than the musac?

Hi Eric
Some good music again today. Good to hear Medicine Head again. They did have a couple of other hits Rising Sun & Slip and Slide. The high point of the show for me was Buffy st Marie. I have long been a Donovan fan so I know his version of Universal Soldier and I also heard her song for the film Soldier Blue. But I have to admit I though that she was probably a bit middle of the road. How wrong I have been. Thanks for putting me right. Always good to hear the Bonzo's - the story about Joe Meek was funny. Keep up the good work on the radio, live circuit, & cd releases. The name Wreckless Eric always stands for quality.

Sorry to hear about the toothache - my advice is to get to a dentist right away.
Loving the shows still and getting good feedback from previous NonBelievers, too.
Hope you'll remember to update the playlists when you get home!

(Looking forward to next week in North London...)

Eric, a friend of mine tells me that Buffy St Marie is indeed still alive. He saw her play a gig recently and met Daevid Allen of Gong in the audience.

Loved the Rolf impression. Have you got any more?

Oh, nearly forgot to say, the Medicine Head hit single that I always remember is "Rising Sun". My Dad used to like playing that one.

According to Wikipedia (the font of all knowledge, apparently, even if some of it is quite patently wrong) their first hit single was "(And The) Pictures in the Sky" and they released an album entitled "Dark Side of the Moon" before Pink Floyd.
