Really enjoyed your show today. I've had that Indian Ropeman track floating round my head for years without knowing who it was. Now I do. Ta. I first heard the Beatles in stereo at the home of a professional harpsichordist whose garden I was clearing at the time. Fair blew me away at the time, although all my albums up to the White Album were in mono thanks to the red and cream Dansette.......
A professional harpsichordist would have the Beatles in stereo! Was it Nicky Hopkins? I can hardly imagine it was. The thought of a red and cream Dansette is making me go all misty eyed... I enjoyed your Southwick and Brighton photos. If you're around come and see us at the Prince Albert in Brighton on September 23rd. Thanks for leaving a comment - it gets very lonely out here!
"Go To The Church Of Your Choice" - I suppose Radio London were suggesting that there was a very wide choice though I can hardly imagine that they were advocating a walk in the path of righteousness. I didn't think that Pete Townshend made it up but I don't ever remember hearing it back in the day, and I listened to Radio London more than any other station becaue where I lived Caroline had rotten reception. I was really pleased that The Who Sell Out championed Radio London because whenever pirate radio came up it always seemed to be in conjunction with Radio Caroline, as though no other pirate station existed.
